White is in...it's pure like the Temple

Katch, Me, Miss Poola
(MVP's on the dance floor...actually that award might go to Bunker and his crew)

Come on...that just looks cool...admit it!

So maybe I was begged to do a little table top tappin' and some lap dance leapin' (forced I tell you...forced!)

That's what I tell people when they like to point out my translucent skin! Perhaps you would think I'd be a bit worried about going to an all white-wearing birthday bash for Jon Moff.'s 30th? Perhaps I'd become invisible with the white on white??? Not so my friends. Orange tan (Mystic) to the rescue. It's my summer regimen...although I still haven't managed to get it quite right yet this season. However, splotches, streaks, and all...I love me some orange.

So... tanned and ready to dance - a sea of whited-out, decked-out 20 somethings gathered aboard The Yacht and made our way to the dance floor. And we never left...

Big Love...big obnoxious family love

The winners. Jake won the marathon in my eyes...and the Denisons won the T-shirt contest no doubt!

I mean...it's kind of genius!

My Mammie

This was my special pose for Bryan...he totally wouldn't stop staring!!!...(perv)

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree mama.

Did you know her initials are "P.U."??

For this one Bryan told me to pose real demure like...I mean if that's not demure...I don't know what is!

I love that my Auntie's are all looking at my behavior instead of the camera

I pulled my groin and needed to borrow the walker...my mom was getting mad at me by this point. (But I think she secretly knows I'm just like her!!!)

Lots of the fam at Navy's blessing

Navy...she's getting pretty dang cute! For a while I just thought she was silly looking...not anymore!

And we got at least 1 normal one of all the Ure Girls! (See...you only need one good one!)

I love my fam! We're kind of a lot to handle wherever we go I'll have to admit. But we walk tall, proud, and sometimes, with silly looks on our faces. The past few weeks have been fun with family coming into town. We had Navy's baby blessing, Mother's Day, and a trip to LA to support Jake while he ran the marathon.
2 things I've realized.
1. I don't really know how to take a normal picture....(I guess it's just kinda my role in the fam) and
2. Jake is my hero!

G-L-E-E

Married with Child....

GLEE...it's what I do

The cast...I'm the girl in the pink sweater (at least I pretend in front of the mirror I am!)

When I grow up....

Well here's the thing. I'm kinda all grown up now. But that doesn't mean I haven't accomplished all that I was born to do. (Obviously!) Our final school spirit day was themed so that we were to dress up as what we wanted to be when we grew up. Of course I had to join in the fun. So with my belly busting and my ring finger blinging...I was a hit and possibly a hoot at school!

But the real truth is I would have dressed up as something else if I could've figured out what to wear to represent such an occupation. An official GLEE CLUB member. Or maybe even the leader of such a group. I watched the new pilot for the show on Fox coming in the fall. I am officially obsessed. I'm talking - I can't get the vision of myself in a Glee club out of my head. I'm serious about starting one up. I originally wanted to join one...but then thought of tryouts and my failing miserably in them. I can't sing - we all know that by now. But I'm not going to let some know it all tell me I can't belt my ballads just cause I hit a wrong note or two! (or 3 or 4 or ....)

So if any of you know anything about GLEE clubs and have advice or recommendations...I'm all ears. The music is in me. I was born to do this. The world is my stage...and that means you're are my audience. I'm lookin' for a standing ovation!!!

Ice Blocking for a Cause....Katch's Bday!

The finale ride of the night! Yep...there's 3 of us there. You just can't quite see Miss Poola between Katch and I. What a ride!!!

Had to ride Peter...sturdy fellow!

Katch led out the Bday train

Fister tower!

Dusty actually couldn't hold onto me for very long...short lived ride.
The handmade with LOVE snuggie I made Katch!

Lifer Love

I'd like to award myself a 10 for poise...

Kieser and I went pretty far down the hill.

Fister Alice may have not taken me the farthest...but I'm pretty sure we both came out with a few bruises!

It's what she wanted...and we had to give it to her. You might be wondering if Miss Katie Hatch was turning 12 this year - but wonder no further. This gal is just young at heart and had birthday wishes to back it up. I asked Katch what she wanted to do....and ice blocking it was. So we filled our tummies with the local fav. Baja Fish and then made our way over to the grassy hills of Salt Creek.

With a pretty decent turn out we slipped and slided all the way into the night. I'll have to say though...I feel like I was sort of the champion of sorts. Granted, I did walk away with a bruise here or there - I think I still took the cake for having the rides of my life. I jumped onto everyone that was agreeable to the idea and rode them down the hill! I gotta say that Peter McGrath takes the cake for being the most adventurous. Miss Poola Peralta wins for best center of gravity while holding me. And the birthday girl herself wins for being the best sport as I kept our momentum going long after we fell off our ice block, we probably rolled together 10-12 more times! I'm pretty sure that's where my bruises came from.

Katch - hope we made a dream or two of yours come true on the big day. We're glad you chose to celebrate it with us! XOXO MY LIFER!

Snuggie Love

Happy B-day Briti!!

Lucky you!!

I was apparently a little more excited to give it then she was to get it. Her expression says it all!

"Why skull and crossbones?"she asks. Umm...cause it's a Snuggie for crying out loud. It's suppossed to be tacky!
I think it's a perfect fit!!!

When Linds. found out I was making Mammie one, she wanted one too. I surprised her with a special alumni flavor. Yeah...the little brat doesn't even like it! Anyone else a UCLA fan out there that would love a homeade snuggie???

I worked hard for you Mammie. This is how I show my gratitude and love to you on your special day! XOXO!!!

So basically I was given the coolest idea ever by some ladies at work! Some fellow teachers were making a "Snuggie" for their roomate for her birthday. And that's when lightening struck! I'm horrible at giving presents when forced to find something. I'm much better at just picking something up for someone that I know they'd like when I see it. Not at their specified birth month.

But things have changed. I am the ultimate SNUGGIE giver! I had Britni and Katch's birthdays and Mother's day all in the same time frame. (J. Moff's too...but I decided to keep his!) I decided I would give them all a labor of love! Andrea Nielson helped me figure out the pattern - and before you know it we were whipping these babies out!

I gotta say I think the real joy of it all is finding the perfect obnoxious material to create with! I just knew my mom...who is ALWAYS hot...was going to love my skull and crossbones gift! I have given away my first 4 snuggies with great pride I tell you! Can't wait to see what patterns LA has in store for my next masterpieces!!!

'Du' what?

Perhaps a highlight of the morning...seeing Jeff and Alan!

Luke won Gold...and Ashley was probably a pretty close second.

Yea...it was a little weird when Jon did the whole race with his shirt zipped down half-way?!

Nice guns Bishop

I think I'd have to say I got the 'boobie' prize (...I mean last place!) and Jon got the prize for deepest v-neck!

Our singles ward is really trying to vamp things up! Gettin' us spiritually strong and physically strong. I must say the former might be a titch bit easier as far as I'm concerned. Craig Lark - who is all about anything to make us sweat - set up a SC5 Duathlon last Saturday.

Well...ever the sport...I of course signed up. Keep in mind it's pretty much the first time I've brought out my bike this year. Yeah...I didn't come in first place - but I think I came in coolest place...thanks to my boom box rigged up to my handlebars!

Lindsey and I walked together while everyone else passed us. Typical Ure behavior! It was fun to do - some SC5 guests even showed up. I was thrilled to see Alan Ek and Jeff Yates....and to see they weren't much faster than I was!

Perhaps next time I'll go for gold?! And perhaps next time Jon will wax???
